Transaction Detail Report

By default, this report may provide enough information.

Navigate to Reports > Financial > Transaction Detail

Filter on Purchase Types (Credit Memo, Purchase Order, Vendor Bill, Employee Expense), Date Range

Can be exported to CSV or Excel. Excel can have line limitations.

This report includes

  • Type - the type of transaction
  • Date - transaction date
  • Document Number - a reference number (like an invoice number)
  • Name - a name (of a vendor, customer or employee)
  • Memo - a memo
  • Account - the general ledger account associated with the transaction
  • CLR - a notation whether the transaction has cleared your bank account
  • Split - the other account involved in the double-entry bookkeeping notation. If more than one account was used to offset this distribution, you see the notation -Split-.
  • QTY - the quantity
  • Amount - amount (the transaction amount or transaction line amount)

We need to see the full distribution of each transaction on separate lines, including the amount(s) posted as tax paid/rebate.

This report may not show that level of detail in your system.

If so, you may need to use SuiteAnalytics which is typically included with the NetSuite platform license.
