Xero - Providing 3rd Party Access

We can access everything we need via this access. While logged into your Xero account:

  1. Select Settings, then click Users.

  2. Click Invite a user.

  3. Enter the new user's first name, last name and email address. (Derik Wenman, derik.wenman@lwatax.com) Under Give them access to:

  4. Select "Business and accounting" and then "Read only"

  5. Click Send Invite.

Alternative Instructions for running reports only (less helpful):

Xero - Payable Invoice Detail Report

  1. In the Accounting menu, select Reports.

  2. Under Accounting, click More reports to expand the section if the report is hidden.

  3. Click Payable Invoice Detail.

  4. Change the Data Range, Choose Custom (We are seeking data for the last 4 years.)

  5. Click Report Settings

  6. Select Include Prepayments

  7. Choose Layout: Standard

  8. Select ALL Columns that aren't selected already

  9. Click Update

  10. Once its updated, choose Export � Excel from the bottom right

Journal report

  1. An alternative to this report is the Journal Report. However this report exports as XLS so has a line limit and the Xero system requires you to select smaller date ranges for it to work, ie montly. As such, the above report is preferrable.

  2. Click Journal Report.

  3. Select a time frame, then click Update to view your report. We are seeking data for the last 4 years. You may wish to select a shorter test period at first.

  4. You can also export reports from the Export button within the report itself. Select your preferred export format: normally Excel but PDF may be an option if you have issues with Excel.
